About Our Company

Hinckley Pottery is a privately-owned urban studio, pottery gallery and pottery gifts shop located in the heart of Washington.

Its 3,300 square feet of well-lit, comfortable space are housed in a renovated warehouse about 20 blocks due north of the White House.

The studio is furnished with 14 electric wheels, 2 kick/electric combination wheels, and 1 treadle wheel. There are 2 electric kilns, 2 gas kilns, and a propane-fired raku kiln.

We stock several stoneware clay bodies as well as porcelain. A wide selection of glazes is always on hand.

Hinckley Pottery’s gallery and shop are adjacent to the classroom. The gallery displays and sells work by Jill Hinckley and by visiting potters. Assorted tools, t-shirts and other merchandise as well as stoneware, porcelain and raku pottery may be purchased during business hours.
